Your data, in plain words
Stayput keeps what it needs to show you why subscribers cancel, and nothing else. You can download all of it or delete all of it, any time, from Settings.
What Stayput stores for an account owner
- Your email address and when you signed up, so you can sign in with an emailed link.
- Your flows: name, product name, headline, cancel link and whether the flow is live.
- Your digest preference and the weekly digests sent to you.
What Stayput stores when a subscriber uses your flow
- The reason chip they pressed and the free text they typed (up to 600 characters).
- The reason Stayput read from it, such as price or not using it enough.
- A subscriber reference, only if your page passes one (for example your own customer id). Stayput never asks the subscriber for a name or email.
- A one-way hash of the visitor, rotated daily, used to stop one visitor flooding a flow. It is not their IP address.
- Whether the session was a test you ran yourself, and when it happened.
Sessions are shown to the account owner who built the flow, as the reasons report and the weekly digest.
Who reads the answers
To read a reason and write the cancel offer, Stayput sends the chip, the typed text and the product name to a third-party AI model provider, through OpenRouter, the model gateway Stayput uses. That is its only use: producing the reading and the offer for that one session. The same applies to the text typed into the Try a cancel session demo, which is not kept.
How long it is kept
Account and session data stays until you delete the flow or your account. Deleting a flow removes every session logged in it; deleting your account removes your flows, sessions, digests and sign-in records.
Export and delete
- Export: Settings, then Download everything (JSON): your account, flows and every session.
- Delete a flow: open the flow and press Delete flow.
- Delete your account: Settings, then Delete my account. It is immediate.
A subscriber who wants their answer removed can write to [email protected] with the flow link they used.
