A Churn Buster alternative for small Stripe SaaS

Churn Buster's cancel flows start at $269 a month on a tier set by your MRR, whatever the flow saves. On a $29 plan, a 20% share of the renewals saves produce is cheaper than that until you reach 47 saves a month. Stayput charges that share only, and nothing in a month with no saves.

What Churn Buster charges

From Churn Buster's pricing page, read on 6 Nov 2026:

ProductPrice
Cancel Flows or Dunning, one productFrom $269 a month, based on MRR
Dunning and Cancel Flows togetherFrom $430 a month, based on MRR
MeasureFree; includes the Churn Buster MCP
Advisory$2,500 one time, based on MRR; credited to the monthly bill if you adopt the tools within 90 days

The page says plans are month to month with no contract and no commissions, that your MRR sets the flat monthly fee, and that the fee adjusts when your MRR moves to another tier.

The break-even: how many saves before the flat fee wins

A 20% share of a saved subscriber's first renewal is a fixed amount per save. Divide $269 by it for the number of saves a month at which the flat fee becomes cheaper.

Your plan price20% of one renewalSaves a month before $269 is cheaper
$19$3.8071 (70 saves cost $266.00)
$29$5.8047 (46 saves cost $266.80)
$49$9.8028 (27 saves cost $264.60)
$99$19.8014 (13 saves cost $257.40)

Read it against your own numbers. A SaaS with 60 cancel attempts a month cannot reach 47 saves. A SaaS with 600 can, and the flat fee is the better deal there.

Want to see it decide? The 90-second sample cancel session lets you play the subscriber and shows the Stripe change for each outcome.

What Churn Buster's cancel flows include

From Churn Buster's cancel-flows page: cancel reasons captured in a structured survey, segmentation by plan, product or tenure, offers matched to the reason (a skip or pause for too much product, a discount or plan swap for too expensive), reporting by reason, offer and segment, ongoing offer tests, a one-click cancel option on the first step with save offers still shown, and a snippet installed where your cancel action lives. For cancel flows the page lists Stripe among the supported platforms.

It is a finished product with a team behind its setup, and the flat fee buys that whether you have 50 cancel attempts a month or 5,000. If you also want dunning for failed payments, Churn Buster's bundle puts both under one fee, which is a reason to look at it first.

What Stayput decides for each subscriber

Stayput reads the reason a subscriber picks and the words they type, then chooses the offer, the wording and the moment for that one person: a pause, a discount, a downgrade, or no offer at all. The limits come first (the largest discount, the longest pause, no offer in a subscriber's first month) and a decision outside them is rejected before the subscriber sees it. “Cancel anyway” is always one click away.

You can watch it decide before you sign up: the sample cancel session takes 90 seconds, you play the subscriber, and it shows the Stripe change each outcome would make.

Which fits you

  • Churn Buster fits when you want dunning and cancel flows from one vendor, you have the MRR for its tier, and you want a team to build the first version with you.
  • Stayput fits when you are on Stripe, get tens of cancel attempts a month rather than hundreds, and would rather pay for results than for a tier.

Whichever you pick, ask what counts as a save. Stripe's own definition is an accepted offer and a customer still subscribed 7 days later; see what counts as a save.

See the decision before you commit

Run a sample cancel session: pick a subscriber, give a reason, and watch the offer, the wording and the Stripe change come back.

90 seconds, no sign-up. You play the subscriber; the AI answers, and “Cancel anyway” is always one click away.
